Brrrr! On a cold, winter day Anna, Adam and I met for their engagement session in the lovely center city Philadelphia neighborhood in which they live, Filter Square, chatted, warmed up over coffee and hot chocolate at the snug Gavin’s Café, played with the snow a little, and took their sweet rescue pup Kima for a chilly stroll. I believe my car thermometer told me it was 18 degrees outside! This is where Adam & Anna make their most intimate memories, in their daily routine. And it’s great. Now one might think, WHY would anyone want to shoot an engagement session in these conditions and to this I say, “Why not?” I am such a winter person, I would be happy shooting in the cold all the time! I also love the challenge of working in different and not ideal weather conditions. Late afternoon sun beaming off an earlier snowfall is gorgeous and I loved taking advantage of it to photograph this romantic, easy-going, smart & friendly couple. I am looking forward to photographing their wedding this fall at the beautiful Appleford Estate in the Philadelphia suburbs.

This is where Adam proposed to Anna…

This is the bar that Anna & Adam first met, called Doobie’s. You can bring your dog. It’s a pretty awesome place. Mental note…
