We have been so excited to blog this wedding from the fall! First of all, it was a gift to photograph the amazing friends of a person who we truly respect, fellow photographer Ryan Estes. And even more, Nikki and Conrad are some of the most beautiful, fun, and forever-smiling people we could have the pleasure to photograph. Driving to the wedding, we really felt that we were in the country (um, because we were!), as we shoot so many weddings in Philadelphia or close to it, and Elverson felt so far away but heavenly and rural. We even bought pumpkins before the wedding, pet a rooster, and saw Nikki’s dad at the local gas station and asked him for directions to make sure we were on the right track (and didn’t even know it was him until later!) Okay, okay, it’s really not that far from the city, we are just jesting
We have to say, Nikki’s parent’s house is so cool – it’s got this sweet, intentionally-distressed look that we love, but I’m probably not doing it justice describing it, and the day started with chaos and fun in the intimate, rustic house. We scrambled to the pretty white church down the street (do believe it was a dirt road, ha ha), and the breeze, the pre-ceremony jitters, the purpose of the day – everything was perfect and felt so impactful, yet at the same time, peaceful. Nikki and Conrad’s faith is an essential part of their lives, and their ceremony was amazing and one of our favorites – Conrad’s dad performed the service and Conrad even sang his vows…yes, SANG them! The vows declared and the bells rung, we set out to French Creek for photos and then over to the perfect local firehouse, with an epic guest list, Conrad’s band rocking out and lots of merry. This wedding should be posted in two parts, as the reception pics are so much fun too, but we’ll end it here because, well, we need to get on to designing their album
One of the first things Conrad gave to Nikki..he made it (and it weighs a ton!)
I love this little nook that I found to shoot the dress…those are Nikki’s and one of her sister’s baptism dresses next to her wedding dress
Nikki’s shoes ROCKED!!!
Going to the church
A prayer before the big moment

One of my favs of the day – they are just SO happy!
Rule: Never photograph people with food in their mouths. Unless they are as adorable as these people
