There’s something about Susan…
Susan is one of those people that makes you feel good to be around, that keeps you wanting to be around her more, to bask in her “gets it” glow. She looks and dresses and currently works conservatively and elegantly enough, but she is a true artist underneath it all, a graceful and fun-loving creative being. She is an an amazing dancer, and you can see that in the way she carries herself.
Carlo did not like to be photographed, which is not uncommon in many men, but I think he trusted me and I think even had fun being photographed on the wedding day. Their engagement photos were in a breathtaking spot, and they are still some of my favorites thus far. I don’t think it’s possible to take a bad photo of Carlo, or either of them…are they not the most striking couple? I just feel that you can see deeper into them by looking at their portraits. They are easily accessible, but I mean that in a way that just makes them lovely beings.
We arrived at the pre-determined spot for the photos on their wedding day, the Wayne train station, which started reconstruction only a few days before, unbeknownst to us, yet we proceeded to have an amazing time, despite the shade of impending rain and the “under construction” signs everywhere. It was glorious. I could not ask for more beautiful and wonderful clients…Susan keep saying, when I wanted to stay there and shoot anyway, I trust you Jackie. It was all I needed to hear…
Susan felt that her father was looking down on her all day with joy and pride
